"This magical tale of loss and discovery begins with a CRADLE GIFT. A journey, a manuscript and a family tree unlock the mystery behind a young girl's lucid dreaming abilities."

On the day she was born, Maité received a cradle gift from the faery Nahia—a gift that allows her to travel into other worlds while in a dream state.
At seventeen, Maité’s mortal world is torn apart with the tragic loss of her parents. Uprooted from the only home she’s ever known and isolated in a foreign country, the young woman struggles to make sense of her new life. But the conflict in the realm of Faery is about to bleed over into Maité’s reality. She finds herself in the middle of an ancient struggle between Nahia and the Beautiful One as they furiously clash for control over the realm.
Through her Cradle Gift, Maité uncovers the extent of the Faery Realm’s involvement in her life, and in her quest to come to terms with it, Maité has the help of best friend Emily, and David; a young man whose interest in genetics illuminates possibilities that will change her identity forever.

a spell that doesn't miss

Patricia Bossano’s writing has a magic of its own. The words flow from a world deeply imagined and carry a spell that doesn’t miss. I was pulled in from the very first page and enjoyed the rituals surrounding the birth of the protagonist. The reader is transported into another world, a dream world that is filled with infinite possibilities. In the prologue, Bossano describes an important moment in the life of the protagonist: "Fey takes the child through the veil dividing one world from the next — there the child learns what others cannot yet know, beholds what no human eye has seen, and grasps what has been for times unknown." This intriguing line already sets the protagonist apart and makes the reader want to know what she’ll grow up to be and the world she knows that others are yet to know. The prose is just beautiful, the writing infused with an eeriness that makes the reader feel as though they are dreaming. But the narrative isn’t bereft of the realism and humanity that make characters believable and lovable. Cradle Gift is a delightful read for fans of the supernatural and fantasy.

Cosmic and personal

I just finished reading about Maité and her Cradle Gift, and I have to admit, I think Bossano's faeries might’ve worked some subtle magic on me. Between the dream-traveling, grief, and the tug-of-war between Nahia and the Beautiful One, I was completely pulled in.
Bossano has done something rare: written fantasy that feels both cosmic and personal. I loved how she wove loss, identity, and friendship into something that still sparkles with wonder. That’s not easy to pull off.

a quiet, dreamlike power

The moment I stepped into Maité’s world, I was swept away, your writing has a quiet, dreamlike power that lingers long after the last page. From the prologue’s veil-crossing to the emotional ache of Maité’s loss and awakening, the story unfolds like a living myth, personal, poetic, and otherworldly.
The Faerie Legacy series strikes that rare balance between lyrical fantasy and emotional truth. Maité’s journey, touched by fate, grief, and the mystery of her Cradle Gift, felt like reading a whispered secret meant just for me. I especially appreciated how you wove in themes of friendship, belonging, and ancestral purpose without ever losing the magic.

It is magic!

Take a trip to another realm with the 17 year old protagonist who was blessed at birth with a gift from a faery. Read a chapter, take time out? Hard to do. Each chapter entices you to find out what happens next. Plus, the story, once completed, does not leave the reader. Your own thoughts take on a new dimension. In short, I loved this book and highly recommend it to adults of all ages!
